PPE for High-Pressure Work

When working with high-pressure refrigerants, always wear safety goggles and insulated gloves to protect against frostbite from liquid refrigerant contact. R-410A operates at approximately 60% higher pressures than R-22, increasing the risk of rapid liquid release and frostbite injury. If liquid refrigerant contacts the skin or eyes, flush the affected area immediately with large amounts of cool water and seek medical attention. Never apply heat to a frostbitten area, as this causes further tissue damage.

Always wear safety goggles and insulated gloves. R-410A's higher pressures increase frostbite risk. Flush with cool water immediately.
